バースのとある通りに住む4組の人々の物語。
チャプターごとにそれぞれの物語が展開する。こういう作りだと、終盤の収束感をものすごく期待してしまう。（ちょっと期待しすぎてしまった）

とても読みやすく、物語に引き込まれて一気に読めた。こういう作りは好き。
