  • Intertwining story that travel through time, location, and history.

The narrative features are purely and very much Kazuo Ishiguro, quite and descriptive, sometimes overwhelms the reader with main character's high consciousness. Yet the whole story separate itself from Ishiguro's other stories, by creating a character that user wish to dig deeper and discover Ishiguro himself; a character that holds both eastern and western perspectives, who are haunted by it, perceived from others by it, creating a complexity yet a sensuality through out the book.

Orphans, need to keep looking for a way to sustain themselves by reinstating the past. They have to keep on wondering, searching, for a place. In that sense, I guess we are all orphans.
