5ヶ月かけてようやく読了。900ページもある本だけれども、無駄なことは1つも書いてありませんでした。

ひととおりxUnitでテストコードを書いたことがある人が読むと理解がしやすいのではないでしょうか。漠然とテストコードを書いていた人にとっては福音となると思います。

ソフトウェアテスティングの分野ではあらゆるところでレファレンスされる一冊。読み始めた当初は、テストをパターン化して整理しているだけあって抽象的な用語も多く、それらが持つ意味がなかなか把握できなくて苦労したことも多かったが、調べながら一通り読通してある程度この書籍から得た知識が身になり、この分野について本質的な理解が深まった実感がある。今後も手元に置き必要に応じて参照していきたい。

UnitTestのフレームワークファミリー(xUnit)を使った、UnitTestコードのパターンを説明しています。また、xUnitの原理から、UnitTestの目的、種類・分類など、UnitTestを体系的にまとめています。

UnitTestについて書かれた書籍があまり無いので、UnitTestを使っている人なら読む価値があります。UnitTestコードが変わります。

ページ数が800ページ以上と多いですが、実質その半分くらいです。概要が半分で、その詳細が残りというイメージなので、半分くらい読めば十分に役立ちます。

UnitTestについて、これだけまとめられていて読む効果があるということで★5個です。
