I just couln't stop flipping the pages!

And I am speechless.

（ちなみに私が読んだ版はこれじゃないんだけど、表紙が素敵だったのとあまりにエディションが多くて探すのが嫌になったのとでこれにした。中身は同じだし。）


文体と地図があるとこなんかは『The Lord of the Rings』を彷彿とさせる。あと『The Jungle Book』の影響もあるような気が。

でもなんで日本語のタイトルを「戦記」にしちゃったんだろう。せめて『ゲド物語』とか『ゲド伝説』にすべきだったと思う。だって「戦記」じゃないもん、これ。主人公は外敵と戦いながらも常に内なる自分と対峙しているし。

私は『アースシーの魔法使い』という原題のままがいちばんいいと思う。

『影との戦い』原作本。（お求めやすいペーパーバック版。笑）
内容はもう、何十回も読んで頭に入っているわけだから、多少理解できない箇所があっても問題にはならない。ところどころ原文と訳文のニュアンスの違いも楽しみながら、あぁここはそういうコトだったのね、とさらに新しい発見もある。
