現実世界とはほど遠い世界観（しかも英語）なので、なかなか理解するのが難しいかもしれませんが、所々に挿絵があるので、ある程度洋書の多読に慣れている人なら読めると思います。

This novel was an adventure story.
I wonder what message the writer wanted to deliver to us. I think he told us it was necessary to have diversified mindset.
The reason was a boy James easily accepted creatures which were big insects due to magical items. He explored with them from England and finally got to America. American were scared with them at first because James and his company suddenly appeared on the giant peach which looked like a huge bomb. However, the people greeted them after they were not dangerous. Finally, all the adventure creatures got their jobs and were happy.
I learned it was important to be flexible during hardships.
