このシリーズを読むのは5冊目。
内容が違うので単純比較はできないけれど、でも、一番読みやすかった。
全ての章ではないけれど、きちんと結論をまとめてあるし、章の間の関係も言語化されているためだと思う。

美術と美学理論の歴史的な流れ、多様な文化の美術をどう扱うか、美術に権威を賦与するシステムの一翼を担う美術館という制度や、取引の市場のこと、マイノリティ･グループのアイデンティティと美術、それから、デジタル社会の中の美術とコミュニケーションの問題。
扱われている問題を列挙するだけしかできないが、今の美術をよりよく理解するために、必要で、かつ刺激的な問題がたくさん扱われている。
読んでとても充実感があった。
