The Joy Luck Club 第二次世界大戦後、中国から苦難の末にアメリカへ渡ってきた母たちと、アメリカ人として育った娘たちとの愛と葛藤の物語。４組の母娘が登場し、それぞれが、自分の生い立ち、母娘の対立、結婚生活の不和などをかわるがわる独白形式で語る。母からみた娘、娘からみた母の視点の違い。娘たちは自分の中の中国の血を意識していく。３１１２０語。 ♪×
