8歳息子と読了。
チップが自転車に乗るのを見て見て！と言いながらちょっとした小技を見せていくんだけど最後にはオチが。
こんな短いストーリーなのにちゃんと最後にオチが用意されてて、毎回唸らされる。かなり練られてるんだろうなぁ。
うちも男の子なのでこういうことやりがちだなぁ〜、と思いながら読んだ。

チップは自転車に乗る姿をお母さんに見てもらいたいようです。
“Look at me,Mum.”と危険な乗り方をしてアピールします。
最後の“Look at me.”のオチが良かったです。

子どもの頃は、自転車で手放し運転をよくしました。当時は、あれが格好いいと思っていたのでしょうね。
年齢を重ね、今では手放し運転をしたいとは思わない。というか、怖くて、もうできない。一応、私もまともな大人に育っているみたいです。

チップは公園で、自転車の曲芸乗りをお母さんに披露！
｢Look at me ， Mom. ｣

公園だからよいのかな？手放し運転とか、学校では紹介しにくい内容。
そして、エラい目にあったのはチップではなく、お母さん。おおらかさがよい。
