５人の子ども達とフロッピーは、小川に遊びに来ました。
彼らは川に向かって伸びた、木の枝に備え付けられたタイヤのブランコを見つけます。１人、２人、３人と、そのブランコにぶら下がっていきます。
フロッピーはロープを見て、子ども達に何かを訴えるかのように吠えまくります。

意表を突いたオチで、面白かったです。遊び心が感じられて、こういう話は大好きです。
ただ、今の日本だと、いろいろ問題になりそうで……。

8歳息子と読了。

川沿いの大きな木の枝にタイヤをぶら下げたものに子ども達が登ってあそぶ。1人、また1人と増えていくんだけど、木の枝とタイヤを結ぶロープがだんだんちぎれそうになっていく。それに気が付いたフロッピーがワンワン吠えるんだけど、子供たちはバカな犬だと笑う。。。というストーリー。

せっかく危険を知らせてるのに、バカな犬だと笑われるフロッピーが気の毒で。。。

おもしろいのは、周りで見ているリスや鳥、ウサギや魚の反応。彼らも危険を察知して？野次馬で？隠れたり、逃げたり、おそるおそる見に来たり。そんなところにちゅうもくしてみるのも楽しい。

The children climbed on the swing.
Then more children climbed on the swing.
Floppy barked because the rope will be cut in two.
The children laughed at Floppy saying "What a silly dog!"But finally the rope was cut and the swing went down to the stream.

What I think

I want a rope swing.
