すごい存在感の殺人犯。まじこえー。
時代の流れについていけない保安官（トミー・リー・ジョーンズ）の雰囲気がとても好きです。

てか、テキサス英語ほぼ聞き取れませんでした。んで、内容を良く理解していないかもしれないから、とりあえず★３つです。日本語でもみてみたいです。

This book was written by Cormac McCarthy in 2005 and it was also cinematized by Coen brothers. The type of this novel is thriller or action and it takes place in West Texas of U.S in 1980. As we can guess from the title. all of main characters are men. One is an old local sheriff names Bell, second is Moss who was an ex-soldier, and finally the most important character Chirgurh as a cruel murderer. The story starts when Moss found bodies, drugs and two million dollars in the desert while he was hunting. He faced a choice and he decided to take that money...,he knows, will change everything..
Even if this novel is based on the time 1980, it fits to the current situation of U.S which is violent and bloody because it writes about drugs, shootings, and other kinds of crimes a lot. Also it makes us to think about the passage of time because this novel is progressing with the narrative of Bell and he mentions and grieves about changing both people and U.S it self. I think we can say that the author tries to compare brightness and darkness by using main characters as metaphors. For example Bell is written as good man in the story but in the contrast, a sinister murderer Chirgurh is written as a symbol of darkness and an invader who has an enormous power to change something worse. In that case, Chirgurh is a metaphor of the current U.S which has many dark and violent sides, and Bell is a metaphor of what U.S used to be when people had hopes and futures. This kind of theme is very suitable for not just U.S but also for all countries because we face many serious problems right now.
とりあえず、すごく面白かった!時間を忘れてのめりこめる本でした☆
