VI Warshawski is back. Blacklist covered the Holocaust and Hard Time covered big business, Fire Sale explores urban poverty, however it's not as irritatingly preachy as the previous two novels. Although the plot is only marginally more suspenseful, the Chicago South Side setting is real and alive, and VI is almost back to her humorous feisty old self.
