１７５７年の北アメリカ。当地の支配をめぐって仏軍と英軍が戦う。各軍に協力するインディアンたちがいる。ヒューロン族は仏軍とともに戦い、モホーク族とモヒカン族は英軍に加勢していた。斥候のホークアイと、最後のモヒカン族である二人のインディアンはイギリス軍大佐の娘を守ろうとするが。
