I read "The Nightingale" and "Thumbelina" for the first time.
"The Little Mermaid" is a sad tale.
This book's English was nice for me.

みにくいアヒルの子、小夜啼鳥、人魚姫、裸の王様、親指姫の5話。
小夜啼鳥と親指姫は初めて読んだ。人魚姫は悲しい。
cryが「泣く」でなく「（強く）言う」くらいの意味で頻用されているのが印象的だった。

The Ugly Duckling, The Nightingale, The Little Mermaid,The Emperor's New Clothes, Thumbelinaの5編。みにくいあひるの子、人魚姫、裸の王様、おやゆび姫は日本語で読んだことあり。短編集なので、意外と読みやすかった。
