Re-creation will more inportant than recreention.

Living for longer is seen as being older for longer.

So a child born in Japan in 2007 has a 50 per cent chance of living to 107.


The gig economy refers to the idea that there will be a rising number of people earning their income not through full- or part-time employment,but rather through providing a seried of specific task and commission to multiple sequential buyers.

Two sets of uniquely human capabilities.
ONe set involves capabilities associated with complex problm solving that relies upon expertise,inductivereasoning or communication skills.
Thesecond set of capabilities involves interpersonalinteractions and situational adaorability.
These tend to be associated with more mental roles.

The most important insight around well-being is the growing awarness of maintaing a health and well-functioning brain.

This images the brain more as a muscle,which repeated use and practice can change how it operates and can aid its recovery.With luck of use,like any muscle,the brain withers and becomes feebs.so while brain cells don't die as people age,the size and weight of the brain does decrease.

The gift of a longer life is ultimately the gift or time.

In paticular the multi-stage life requires all ages to retain fetures previously associated with the young;youthfulness and plasticity,playfulness and improvisation;and the capacity support novel action taking.

As different ages began to engage in shared activities and mix with ease,so some of the stereotypes og age melt away.Thecreates the opportunity for everyone to gasp the flexibility and inquisitiveness of youth and the wisdom and insight of ages.

Anyone can be an explorer at any thme or any age,but there are three periods of life-from 18 to 30,during the mid-40s,and around 70 and 80-when,for many people,the fit will be perfexct.

長寿国日本のデータや例もたまに出てきた。
個人として、どういうシナリオが見込めるのかの例が３つの世代のパターンが分かりやすかった。
コロナ後に書かれた続編も読んでみたい。

英語は平易で読みやすく、時代ごとのモデルケースがいて分かりやすかった。
2016年の本で少し、古いけどほぼ今の時代背景と変わらず、日本の状況にも同じことが言えると思えた。
人生100年時代、それぞれがライフステージで何を大切にし、スキルアップを図るのかを考えさせられる本でした

人生はマルチステージにならざるを得ないという発想。

今、生まれる子供は50％の確率で107歳まで生きるという。我々の世代も多くは100歳まで生きるということに改めて考えさせられる。人生をeducation, work, retirementの3つのライフステージに分けてこれまでの社会設計はなされていたが、100歳まで生きることを前提とすると、retirementは60歳で行うことは財政的にも難しい。また、IT等の技術革新の影響や男女の社会的役割に対する考えの変化もあり、働き方が大きく変わりつつある。これらを前提とすると新しい100年を前提とした人生は3つのステージではなく、複数のステージが存在すること、すなわち働き出してからまた教育を受ける機会があったりすることを当たり前のようになっていくであろう。これに合わせて、政府や企業も仕組みを変えていかなければならない。しかしながら、そのスピードは遅い。そこには、筆者も触れているが、個人と組織のパワーの引っ張り合いがある。多くの部分で私が個人的に考えていることと、接点があり、自分の考えを整理するのにも役に立った。
