モグラ、キツネ、馬の語る哲学者めいた一言が素直に心を頷かせ、柔らかな水墨画風の絵と毛筆体の文字が言葉と相まって目をなぐさめ、心をなごませる。獣や鳥を恐れて地中に隠れ盲目になったモグラはこう語る。
"Most of the old moles I know wish they had listened less to their fears and more to their dreams."
“おとしよりのモグラたちはきまっていうよ、こわがらずに、夢をおえばよかったって"。

One of my most favorite books…!
This book helped me a lot, A LOT, when I was struggling somethings in the first half of a year in Denmark. Eve after some times, when I open this book, it always tells me such an important and lovely thing as a life tip for me and my life.
I love the pictures and clean, simple sentences.
So warm-full book for me.

"What do you want to be when you grow up?"
“Kind” said the boy.

・成功するってどういうことかな？
"What do you think success is?" asked the boy.
“To love” said the Mole.

"Do you have a favorite Saying?”
“If at first you don’t succeed,have some cake.”

・いちばんの時間のむだってなんだとおもう？
“What do you think is the biggest waste of time?”
“Comparing yourself to others.” said the Mole.

・いままでにあなたがいったいちばんゆうかんなことばは？
"What is the bravest thing you’re ever said?"
“Help”

・いちばん強かったのはいつ？
“when have you been at your strongest ?” asked the boy.
“When I have dared to show my weakness.”

“The greatest illusion” said the mole.
“is that life should be perfect.”

・こころがいたむときは、どうしたらいいの？
“When do we do when our hearts hurt?” asked the boy.
“We wrap them with friendship, shared tears and time, till they wake hopeful and happy again.”

・人生は難しい。でも君は確かに愛されている。
Life is difficult, but you are loved.

・明日のことはわからない。
みんなが愛されていることをわかっていればいい。
We don't know about tomorrow.
All we need to know is that we love each other.

・いつばんゆるすのがむずかしいあいては、じぶんだから
Often the hardest person to forgive is yoursself.

・君たちといるこの場所もウチだと思っていいかな
Home isn’t always a place is it?

・ぼくはぼくのままでいい
That I’m enough as I am.
