著者プロフィール

（Martha C. Nussbaum）
1947年生まれ。ハーヴァード大学博士（Ph. D）。ハーヴァード大学、ブラウン大学を経て、現在、シカゴ大学教授（Ernst Freund Distinguished Service Professor of Law and Ethics）。1986年から世界開発経済研究所（WIDER）のリサーチアドヴァイザー。2004年に発足した「人間開発と可能力アプローチ学会」（Human Development and Capability Association）の第二代会長（2006-2008年）。
