  衝撃的な作品だった。人生観を変えられた。読み終わったあと、棍棒で後頭部を強打された気がした。。
  とにかく登場人物の判事が凄まじい。明晰かつ論理的にもかかわらず世界観がネジ一本飛んでいる。まず、彼は断言する。War is Godと。こんなこと本で言わせて大丈夫なのかよ！って思ったが、彼の論理はこうだ。War endures. . . . because yong men love it and old men love it in them. . . . Men are born for games. Nothing else. Every child knows that play is nobler than work. He knows too that the worth or merit of a game itself is not itself in the game but rather in the value of that which is put at hazard. その究極形が戦争なのだ…
  結局彼はこの物語で唯一生き残り、最後は富と名声を手に入れて踊り狂うのだ。With saying "he never sleep" and "he never die"
