日本語版『男も女もみんなフェミニズムでなきゃ』
コロナロックダウン中に暇でYoutubeを沢山見ててたとき出会った作品。著者のTEDトーク「The Danger of a Single Story/シングルストーリーの危険性」にすごく共感し、著者について調べているうちに別のTEDトーク「We Should All Be Feminists/男も女もみんなフェミニストでなきゃ」を発見。それが書籍化されていると知って購入してみた。
考えてみれば当然なんだけど、スピーチを（多少書き加えて？）書籍化したものなので薄くて小さい可愛めな本です。
女性あるあるをユーモアを交えて書いてて「日本とナイジェリア、大陸を越えてもこんなに体験が共通してるんだ～」という発見が面白かったです。
最新のジェンダーギャップ指数は153か国中、日本は121位なのに対してナイジェリアは128位。順位が近いからこその共通点なのかもしれないけれども。
25p Gender matters everywhere in the world. And I would like today to ask that we should begin to dream about and plan for a different world. A fairer world. A world of happier men and happier women who are truer to themselves. And this is how to start: we must raise our daughters differently. We must also raise our sons differently.
34p The problem with gender is that it prescribes how we should be rather than recognizing how we are. Imagine how much happier we would be, how much freer to be our true individual selves, if we didn't have the weight of gender expectations.
39p I have chosen to no longer be apologetic for my femininity. And I want to be respected in all my femaleness. Because I deserve to be.
