派手さはない、落ち着いたアルバム。
タイトルトラックのLet It Beは名曲中の名曲だが、Across The Universeなんかもいい曲だ。
名曲はあるものの強力なインパクトはなくて、老成したバンドの穏便なアルバムといった印象だ。

望月峯太郎の「バタアシ金魚」の中で主人公が『俺はビートルズのLet it beてのが大っ嫌いなんだよ！』『なすがまま？』てほえる場面を思い出す。

ビートルズのアルバムで、最後から2番目に作られたアルバム。（発売は一番最後）
ビートルズ最高の名曲を冠したアルバムでありながら、アルバム全体としての完成度の低さが目立つ。
「LET IT BE」や「THE RONG AND WINDING ROAD」や「GET BACK」という名曲がちりばめられていながら、この完成度の低さはなんだろう。
解散前の彼らの心がバラバラになったのもあるのだろうか。
しかし、次の最後の「アビー・ロード」で奇跡というよりほかないアルバムが完成するのである。
個人的に好きなのは「TWO OF US」のハモリ。

ラストアルバムといっていいのかしら。Get Back Sessionで録りためられていた音源をフィル・スペクターがまとめた作品。ビートルズは、ずるい。。。ずるすぎて、真正面からなかなか見れない。真正面からなかなか聴けない。このバンドは、本当に奇跡だと思う。ちなみに、個人的には後期の音しかあんま聴かないです、ビートルズって。(07/2/6)
