"Bootleg" is a story about a government named The Good For You Party which bannes chocolate, fizzy drinks and other sweets. But two chocolate addicts called Huntly and Smudger find the recipe for chocolate and start making chocolate and selling them. Soon, the Good For You Party finds out about the chocolate, and arrests Smudger and Mrs.Bubby, the eldery woman who helped the two to make chocolate. Meanwhile, Huntly and another chocolate addict called Mr.Blades sneak into a TV studio and make a speech about chocolate and askes the citizens to help them fight against the Good For You Party. When the citizens hear the speech, they decide to rebel against the government, and finally, the citizens win and chocolate becomes free to eat again.

This book is based on a real story and it was made into a three-part drama. It was the most interesting book I've ever read, next to "Redwall."
