Another bestseller.
'Why Men Don't Listen and Women Can't Read Maps' is a book which is sold
over six million copies worldwide, but I've not read it yet.
We have unconscious stereotypes about men and women, however, this book
clearly outlines the features of each sex, interestingly and logically.
According to this book, our differences are derived from our hormones.
Testosterone is the typical male hormone that causes men to be aggressive,
competitive and to deal with spatial matters.
On the other hand, oestrogen is the typical female hormone that causes
women to be good at talking, cooperating and realizing small changes.
This book insists that the differences between men and women are a result
of evolution. Several million years ago - in the age of our ancestors - men
took the role of hunters for lunch while women were responsible for
defending their nests. Consequently, men and women controlled their
hormones and established their abilities to match each role.
I'm very interested in the features of each sex and I think I should have
read this book before marriage. But I don't agree with the reasons why men
and women are so different, because the arguments of this book are too
simple. I think there are a lot of complicated issues.
