モリー先生との火曜日 - Tuesdays with Morrie【講談社英語文庫】
- 講談社インターナショナル (2005年7月7日発売)
Mitch Albom reconnected with his sociology professor Morris (Morrie) Schwartz after seeing him on the television program “Nightline” with Ted Koppel. After learning that Morrie was dying of Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS), Mitch met with Morrie every Tuesday, just as he did when he was a student at Brandeis University. However, this time, Mitch traveled from Michigan to Morrie’s house in Massachusetts for a course on “The Meaning of Life.” This book recounts their discussions on topics such as love, fear, family, forgiveness, community, and most importantly, death. Morrie, the “Coach,” imparted knowledge and wisdom to his student and friend, Mitch: Life boils down to loving each other, engaging in one’s community, and living for a purpose. Fame, work, and money are secondary to the vital aspects of life. May we find truth in Morrie’s words.
