Second book of this series.
Okay, so I have to admit... the thief/husband is my favorite character, bar none. Man, that is one smooth criminal.
On the other hand, I was definitely getting exasperated with the cop/wife character. I mean, she throws herself at him at any given opportunity (though I will confess that i can understand her actions, judging how awesome her husband is), she gives the jealous stink eye at anyone of the female gender, she jumps to extremely dramatic conclusions and is really reckless in general. It really makes me wonder how she ever managed to get her police badge.
But then her character reminded me of Miss Piggy from the Muppets (haha, yes I had to make a reference to the Muppets. I just saw the movie... Can you tell? It was fantastic by the way.) She's super tough, doesn't take crap from no one, will do almost anything to get what she wants, thinks highly of herself and most of all, is hopelessly in love with a certain special someone.
And for that reason, I will forgive her character flaws. She is a woman in love and I commend her for being able to honestly display her affections, whether if it's appropriate or not in certain times, places or occasions.
