第4版になって、3版よりデザインが洗練されて見やすくなったのでUS版ではなくこちらを購入。

yet が否定文では「まだ」、疑問文では「もう」に訳される理由が分かった。"the speaker is expecting that something happens" だからだ。そうなるだろうと期待していたのに、「まだ」そうなっていない、と非難めいた感情が入る。そうなるだろうと期待しているから、「もう」そうなった？と聞く。


4/11 Unit 8-11
present perfect continuous と present perfect simple の違い。
countinuous は activity そのものに主眼があり、simple はその activity が finished であるかどうかに主眼がある。

4/12 Unit 12-15
present perfect と past simple の使い分け。
present perfect は around now の出来事について。past simple は finished の出来事について述べる。
図の "unfinished" ってのはなんだ？ ミスプリじゃないのか？→US版を見てみたら、やはりミスプリ。past perfect のほうは "finished" でなければならない。

4/14 have to と must の違い。
