Zadie Smith is one of the most talented new writers we have of this century; at merely 25-years old, she has blown me away with her sharp and beautiful observations that come through in her writing. In "White Teeth" she examines the topic of globalization in the world - the mixture of races and the interactions between them all is powerful and sharp... Most of the time, characters aren't able to understand each other - there are too many barriers between gender, age, and race... and Smith conveys all this frustration successfully. One wonders if it is really possible to make the world one big melting-pot... All I can say is... Zadie Smith is amazing!
