日本人には評判が良くないらしい。
英米人が、読んだときの感想を知りたいと感じました。
雪国で、英米人が日本についてどう理解しただろうか。

ひょっとしたら、伊豆の踊り子を先に読んでもらった方がよいのかもしれない。

The magnum opus of Yasunari Kawabata, Japan's first winner of the Nobel Prize for Literature. Most Japanese know the famous opening sentence: "The train came out of the long tunnel into the snow country". By reading this novel set in snow country, you can feel the beauty of Japan.

英語版は日本語を実に忠実に訳しており、翻訳版によく見られる日本語独特の表現など、日本語の美が損なわれていない☆
