ニューヨークに住む、元芸者の老女の語りを物語にしたという形っぽいけれど、人名とかちょっと違和感ある所とかも少々。『水揚げ』とか『旦那』に関するところとか事実なのかな？
ストーリーとしてはさゆりは結局悪女だと思うし、ノブさん可哀想だなと。芸者は幸せになれない話かと思いきや、けっこう夢が実ってる。うーむ。
