I met this book about a year ago when I had difficulties in team management and was introduced to this book from a friend who is a professional coaching instructor.
He advised me to think about the famous phrase -“the desire to be important.” Since then, whenever I encounter a similar situation, I
come back to this book for help.
In my opinion, why this book is considered a ‘masterpiece’ is because it does not rely on techniques or skills but instead goes back to the basic issue on “the nature of human beings,” and tries to understand the principles and fundamentals on how to motivate people.
Although the book is old and the wordings and examples are not new anymore, I think that what is taught in this book is always adaptable to the world we live in. -
just have done !!
finish reading !! maybe it was an annual work.
as same as people who lived in early 1900s America, i have also interest in developing skill in human relationships and solving daily problems in business and social contacts.
especially in Japan, there're many self-development books, such as about how to do and what to do. Dale Carnegie is known as a pioneer of this sort of books, so i wanted to read it in innate language.
it was a little bit boring because i don't have enough knowledge about American history which often showed as examples. in addition what is told in this book is something old now. but in every chapter i could obtain something deeply convinced me.
i'll reread it again and again and note the best way to solve many lifetime problems. -
