It's supposed to be written by them together, but it's actually two separate stories, more like two novellas just bound in a single package. Somehow it feels like one and one add together to produce less than two, although that's probably more due to too high expectations. The first is set in Boston and is about a mother and is probably by Faye, and the second is set in Santa Fe and is not about very much and is probably by Jonathan. I prefer the first, although it's best described as solid and lacks bite.
Disappointing.
