とても興味深い本でした。

”成功する人達はどうして成功する
のか。。。なるほど”っと思わず
納得しました。

本当に成功する人たちはどんな要素
を持っていなければならないのか。
お金？学歴？恵まれた才能？それだけではなく
Lucky opportunity の積み重ねが大きくその人の
成功を左右しているそうです。

"Oppotunity number one was that Bill Gates got sent to Lakeside. How many high schools in the world had access to a time-sharing terminal in 1968? Oppottunity number two was that the mothers of Lakerside had enough money to pay for the school's computer fees. Number three was that, when that money ran out, one of the parents happened to work at C-Cubed, which happened to need someone to check its code on the weekends, and which also happened not to care if weekends turned into weeknights. "

筆者独特の世界観に引き込まれる一冊です。Tipping Pointに続き彼の本を読んだのは二冊目ですが、今回は成功する人に隠された真実というのを色んな例を使って解いていきました。アジア人は何故数学が得意なのか、事故を多く出していた航空会社の理由、そしてビル・ゲイツが何を経て今の地位に辿りついたのか。気になる方はぜひ手に取ってみてください。
