　Harry Potter シリーズ第5作目。
　Harryが、「自分が、自分が」ばかり言っていて、やけに鬱陶しく感じた。まぁ15歳という微妙な年齢だし、復活したVoldemortの情報を何も与えられず家に閉じ込められていたら鬱屈するのは分からんでもないけど。また、魔法界においてHarryが実際に特別な存在であることが、余計にややこしくしている気もする。
　あとは、とにかく本が分厚かった(笑)　800ページぐらいの本は日本の文庫本でも偶にあるけど、なぜ洋書ってこんなにゴツいのだろうか…読みにくくて仕方がない。
　取り敢えずシリーズはあと2作で、なんとか今年中に読み終えられそう。

【概略】
　「ヴォルデモートが戻ってきた」という事実と、セドリックの死で終わった魔法学校４年生。しかしながら世間、とりわけ魔法省からはこのヴォルデモート復活については積極的に否定されていた。そんな中、ハリー達は、魔法学校５年生の生活が始まる。５年生の学校生活はしかし、ハリー達にとって、決して楽しいものではなかった。魔法省による校内での圧力が日に日に増す中、ハリーの脳内に対してもヴォルデモートによる圧力が始まっていた。ハリーが悩まされるヴォルデモート関連の夢は、本当に、夢なのか？はたまた・・・。フォルデモート率いるデスイーター達と、不死鳥の騎士団達の戦いが、いよいよ始まる。

【書評】
　なんだろうなぁ・・・はじめて読んだの記録ないからわかんないけど、前回読んだ時からおよそ１０年。当社比で、英語力に成長がある分、前回より楽しく読めてる。それとは別に、各キャラクターに対する印象度の違い。
　前回はなんか、ただただ「ハリー、苛立つのわかるわぁ」って感情移入で。「よく非行に走らないよな、ハリーは」とか思っちゃったり。同時に当時は、若干「おいおい、ハリー、ちょっとムカつくぞ？（言い過ぎ）」な感覚も。でも、今回は、１０歳トシをとったせいか、ダンブルドア校長のハリーへの見方に共感。校長自身の過ちを認めつつも、苛立つハリーに対しての包容力。唯一、ハリーとスネイプの感情の部分だけ、ちょっとなー。
　もうひとつ、なんか凄い、読んでて泣けてきたのがネビルの頑張り。両親を拷問の呪文（？）で狂わされ、そして、自身も戦場へ。呪文を唱えても、ちゃんと詠唱できないぐらい鼻を折られ、ぐちゃぐちゃになりながらも、立ち上がるネビル。正直、今回一番グッときた。
　しかしまぁ・・・ハリーもロンも、女性とのコミュニケーションは・・・落第だよね（笑）ジニーがどんどん大人になっていき、どんどん置いてけぼりな（笑）今後のジニーにも、期待。

アンブリッジと傲慢なハリーにイライラした

Read in 2020.
There were many scenes that weren't described in the film and the relationship between Harry and Serious is the most prominent example. The scene where Harry cries alone by the lake thinking about Serious was exceptionally sad. He doesn’t really share his sorrow with Ron or Hermione and that was again really sad. How important Serious was to Harry was explained well in the book compared to the film. Though his relationship with Serious and how import he was better explained in the book of course because the book literary can explain with words and with many other scenes that couldn’t be included in the film, I think Daniel really expressed them all with his expression and tone of voice and everything. I feel like watching the film would more mean to me now I know what was really going on in background.
And the mirror (the glass where He could see Serious) wasn’t explained in detail in the film, and I wondered what Harry was doing holding the piece of glass in his hand with the sorrowful expression in the film, so it was good to know what the scene meant.
On the other hand, there was scene that only appeared in the film and that was when Harry says to Voldemort that he was sorry for him for that Voldemort doesn’t know love. It may have been a cliché if it wasn’t Daniel who played Harry, but the kind of pureness Daniel has made it sound really convincing.
All in all, I love both the book and the film and I strongly felt they made the story and character more attractive each other.

Finished listening the audio book version. This book again shows that the key theme of this Harry Potter series is "love". However, although it is love that has always protected Harry from Lord Voldemort and his servants, in this book, love also led Dumbledore to make a crucial failure. Dumbledore tried to protect Harry too much and kept Harry from the truth and burden. As a result, Harry was again exposed to extreme danger and lost his godfather at the end. So sad.
